About Nick

I am a former professional and Canadian National Team volleyball player. In my varsity career I was named to the First Team All-Canadian 3 times and I was the Player of the Year in 2015. My team at Trinity Wester University also won 2 national golds and one national silver medal and a few years after my career I was inducted into the University Sports Hall of Fame. After university I went on to play professionally in Germany, France, Switzerland and India.

I was extremely fortunate to have some very influential coaches throughout my career. One of them was Mischa Harris, the other co-founder of AWA, he introduced me to a different approach to training, one that wasn’t and still isn’t very popular. It wasn’t about grinding harder, but turning my limitations into strengths, staying healthy, and creating more balance throughout my body and life.

He inspired me to be unique in my approach and I strongly believe that I was not “luck” that I never had a serious injury in my career but because of the approach I took with my body. This is now where my passion lies, ever since retiring in 2018 I’ve been on a knowledge hunt trying to uncover the little intricacies of movement. I’ve been working with athletes from youth to the olympic and professional level as well as members at Archetype to help make their aches, pains and injuries a thing of the past.
